As more and more people have responded to the call at Sunnycrest to “Come grow with us!” our ministries have grown as well to serve the needs of our church and our community. From small groups to summer block parties, our church family and our outreach are continually expanding!

At Sunnycrest, we're looking to host not just programs, but provide real opportunities for people to meet and worship God with others, so that we may truly be the body of Christ in Sioux Falls.

Pastor's welcome

Welcome! Let me introduce myself. My name is Dean Trapp and I am the Pastor of Sunnycrest United Methodist Church. Sunnycrest is glad you have chosen to visit with us online today. We hope that you have found what you are looking for here. Sunnycrest invited everyone to open their hearts because we believe that somehow, somewhere God has a word for you today. It may be here or elsewhere, but our hope is that you will become connected with God an others.

Our purpose is growth. We invite everyone who visits to “Come Grow With Us!” We have a wonderful staff here, including our Youth Director Erin Evans and the Church Secretary Tracey Westendorf. Beyond that there are many dedicated people who are ready in a variety of ways to help you grow in your walk with God who comes to us in the person of Jesus Christ.

We know there are many churches in Sioux Falls. I can tell you that there is no perfect church in this city or anywhere, but somewhere there is a church that is perfect for you. We hope that Sunnycrest can be that church for you.
